Virtual Reality-based Training Programme for social adaptive and emotional training on school-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (vPAD)

vPAD is a pioneering Virtual Reality-based Training Programme for social adaptive and emotional training for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

vPAD is developed by AIMtech Centre of City University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with medical and educational experts respectively from Department of Paediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Department of Psychological Studies, The Hong Kong Institute of Education.

It is a unique training programme enabled by CityU multi-projection virtual reality technologies which aims to provide an authentic, immersive, situated, safe and controllable educational environment.
